Breeds
Dogs from the same breed share appearance and behavioral characteristics mainly because they come from ancestors that had the same characteristics. In order to identify a dog to a specific breed, genetic analysis and written record of ancestry should be used.

Labrador Retriever
According to Labrador Retriever Wikipedia, this breed is a favorite for disability assistance. Labrador Retrievers are very often trained to help people who are blind or have autism, to act as therapy dogs or to do detective work for law enforcement. The male usually weights from 65lb to 80lb, while the female weighs from 55lb to 70lb.
German Shepherd
According to German Shepherd Wikipedia, this breed originated in 1899. The German Shepherds were originally developed for herding sheep. Now, they have much more complicated jobs since they are recognized as extremely intelligent and very obedient. They work with disabled people, the police and have important roles in military. The male usually weighs from 66lb to 88lb and the female from 49lb to 71lb.
Poodle
According to Poodle Wikipedia, the poodle is the second most intelligent dog breed. Poodles are also one of the most trainable dogs. They often can be seen as circus performers because they are very agile and obedient. There are three sizes: standard, miniature and toy. The oldest variety of the breed is the standard poodle. A standard male poodle usually weighs from 45lb to 70lb, while the female weighs from 45lb to 60lb.
Pomeranian
According to Pomeranian dog Wikipedia, the Pomeranian is classified as a toy dog because of its small size. Pomeranians have been very popular with royals. Queen Victoria owned an especially small Pomeranian which resulted in people being very interested in smaller dogs such as Pomeranians. The male usually weighs form 4lb to 5.5lb, while the female weight from 4lb to 4.5lb.
